Learn2Code.Live LLC (DBA:Whizara), (“Whizara”) offers in-person and live online programs for students from ages 5-18 and licenses its curricula to teachers. We understand the importance of protecting your personal information in the digital environment. With this understanding, we have developed this Privacy Policy for our Services.
This Privacy Policy explains our practices and how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you visit our website, www.whizara.com (“the Site”), or when you or your students enroll in our classes or use our Learning Management System (“LMS” and collectively with the Site, the “Services”), or when you otherwise interact with us. These Services include our online programs, mobile and online applications, and other services or tools offered by Whizara (which we also refer to as “we,” ”us,” or “our”). Depending on the specific Services you use or how you interact with us, we may send additional privacy notices about our practices and your rights.
By using Whizara’s Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Adults (parents, guardians, teachers and school administrators) register their students for our Services. You must be over the age of 18 in order to register for Whizara’s programs or Services.
Information That We Collect
Information you give us directly:
(i) Information that you give us when you request information or register with us
We collect information that you voluntarily provide when you get in touch with us by filling out one of the forms on our Site or when you register for Whizara Services on our Site, via Email or when you get into a Contract with us. We may require that you provide us with information such as your first and last name, email address, phone number, and your child or student’s name, age, grade level, preferred time of class, learning objectives and how you heard about us. When you register for our program online, we require that you provide our third-party payment processor, Stripe, your name, payment card information, and billing address. The payment card details are not stored in Whizara’s system.
In addition, we collect information from individuals applying for instructor or other job openings, during the application process. This information includes employment-related materials, personal details (e.g., location, availability, education), and, when required by law or regulation, employment history and background check information. We use this information solely for the purpose of assessing qualifications, conducting background checks, and completing the onboarding process.
(ii) Information that you give us when creating student and teacher accounts
When you register for our Service, we may invite you to access our LMS as a student or teacher, depending on the service you sign up for. We will create student and teacher accounts with the information (name and email) that you knowingly provide during registration or the information that you knowingly share via email along with your consent to use for account creations. We advise you not to share your account password with anyone.
(iii) Information collected when you or your child or student contacts us
When you or your child or student contacts us via email, social media, phone, mail or our LMS, we may collect your (or your child’s or student’s) name, email address, phone number, school name, and the contents of your communication which can include any information you (or your child or student) choose to provide. We will only use that information to provide the service or support requested.
(iv) Information collected when you refer
We allow you to invite others to join Whizara. If you do this, we will collect and store the invitee’s email address in order to send an invitation. We will let the invitee know who invited them to Whizara and give them the ability to request that their information be deleted from our systems.
(v) Information collected when you leave your details with us at a marketing event
We may collect details such as your name, company/school name, job title, address, phone number, email address, interest in our programs for specific grade level(s) or age(s).
Information we collect automatically when you use our Service:
(i) Log data
Like many websites, our Site collects certain information automatically and stores it in log files. This may include information about the devices you use to access our Service (including your internet protocol (IP) address, browser type, and operating system); the address of the web page visited before and after using our Service; details about your interactions with our Service (such as the date, time, length of stay, and specific pages accessed during your visits); search terms used to reach our Service; and usage information (such as the number and frequency of visitors to our Service). We use this information to help us design and administer our website, improve our Service, and gather broad demographic information that helps us identify visitor preferences.
(ii) Student Activity Data
We also collect certain information about student and teacher activity on our LMS. For instance, we collect information about when a student last logged in, content accessed and duration of activity in order to help us monitor and analyze course usage and improve our Service.
(iii) Cookies
We collect some of the information above using cookies and similar technologies. A “cookie” is a text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser. Whizara uses cookies and user session data to remember whether you are logged in, determine how many users have visited certain pages, and prevent fraud. You can disable cookies, limit the types of cookies you allow, or set your browser to alert you when cookies are being sent. Please refer to the guidance offered by your chosen web browser if you’d like help managing your cookie preferences.
(iv) Analytics
We use third-party analytics tools to execute and track display advertising, including remarketing advertising on other websites. These tools help us understand which ads bring users to our site and inform and optimize the ads served.
Information we collect from other sources
(i) Payment Processors
When you purchase our Services online, your payment card information is provided directly to our third-party payment processor, Stripe, and Whizara does not collect or store your information. However, we may receive limited information about your payment card from Stripe, such as the last four digits of your card, the country of issuance, and the expiration date.
(ii) A Whizara User
We may collect your Personal Information from a Whizara user who provides us with your email address in order for us to invite you to our Service.
(iii) Whizara Instructors
We collect information pertaining to your child from our instructors. For instance, instructors may provide specific notes about students’ performance. They may also provide feedback on students’ performance directly to students and parents.
Any individual or combined information we collect about you from any of the various sources, if identifies you as an individual, will be treated by us as Personal Information.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:

To fulfill our contractual obligations as outlined in our Terms of Services and deliver you with the Services you signed up for, we may use your information to create your Whizara LMS account and identify you when you sign in to your account.

Based on our legitimate business interest in improving our Services and your experience we may use your information to deliver a high-quality and customized learning experience specifically tailored to your needs.

To comply with our contractual obligations and legal requirements, we use your information to process your payment and document the transaction.

Our legal obligations require us to keep you informed about the Services we provide and your account. This may require us to send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support and administrative messages and information about the rules of the Site and the Services.

We may share your information with instructors, vendors, consultants, and other service providers who need to access the data in order to perform services on our behalf, such as providing cloud-hosting or cloud-storage services.

For instance, upon your consent your information may be shared with a third party for a potential opportunity for your student or child.

In the course of providing our Services, when proactively provided by you along your consent, we may share your or your child’s or student’s information (email) with our instructors to enable instructors to communicate with you or your child or student to assist you or your child or student with queries related to the Services.

We also share your information with instructors who use personal information only as necessary to provide the Services and in accordance with our policies and contractual obligations.
Students and Children’s Privacy
We take the privacy of students and children seriously to ensure compliance with the principles outlined in the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA”) and the United States Family Education Rights and Privacy Act ("FERPA”). Adults, including teachers, school staff, parents or legal guardians who enroll their students and children for our Services are our point of contact for enrollment and course related communications. We receive student information from schools under a "school official" principle, following strict guidelines to keep it safe. We use student information solely as necessary to provide the Services, such as creating student accounts, delivering learning materials, and communicating progress. Your information is never shared with third parties except as explained in this policy or as required by law. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children in connection with the Services. The adult (parent, teacher or guardian) proactively and knowingly shares the student’s information when necessary to avail our Services or when the child or student proactively contacts us as mentioned in this document.
Certain features of our Services require student account creation with our LMS, depending on the service that you sign up for. The adult (teacher, parent or guardian) provides the student’s information and consent for us to set up student accounts using the students’ information shared with us. If you are a student or a child under 13 years of age, please ask your parents or schoolteacher to help you with steps like creating your account and receiving from us learning materials. If you are a parent or a school official you must satisfy your responsibilities regarding online privacy laws (like COPPA and FERPA) and student information before you share any student or children information with us. You must follow child privacy laws when providing us with personal information when a child is under 13, including satisfying the permission requirement from parents or guardians to share personal information. In addition, if the information falls under FERPA (school education records), you need proper notification and consent before sharing it with us or others. By continuing to use our Services you acknowledge and agree to follow all applicable data privacy and data security laws and regulations.
We do not use children’s protected information for promotional activities or target advertising or marketing to children, and we do not create or build personal profiles of students.
Third-Party Websites and Third-Party Content
To provide our Services, we may utilize third-party resources such as websites, services, and applications from trusted partners such as Google Suite, AWS, MA3SP and Zoom. These third-party services allow us to offer features such as online payments, social media integration, and analytics insights; however, these services are not operated or controlled by Whizara. In addition, our Site may link to third-party websites, services, and applications that are not operated or controlled by Whizara. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of those third parties. The fact that we link to a website, service, or application is not an endorsement, authorization, or representation of our affiliation with that third party. Please review the privacy policies of any third- party service before providing any information to or through them.
Data Retention
We only keep your information for so long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, as required by law, or as necessary to resolve disputes and enforce our rights and agreements. We may anonymize, delete or take other appropriate steps to dispose off your information. Data may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time, with appropriate security measures in place
Security
Whizara uses generally accepted technical and administrative safeguards that we believe are appropriate to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your information. Please be aware that although we make reasonable efforts to protect your information from loss, misuse, or alteration by third parties, there is always some risk involved in transmitting information over the Internet and storing information electronically. Whizara cannot and does not guarantee absolute security.
Changes to Our Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. If we make changes to this policy, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on our website and indicate when it was last revised. You are advised to review this policy periodically to stay informed of our practices. If we make material changes, we may provide you with additional notice, such as posting a statement on our homepage or sending you an email notification, if we have your email address on file.
